Sam Pounds is a Rock N' Soul artist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer/engineer/mixer/masterer from Bahama, North Carolina, now based in Los Angeles. He started in church at five under his grandmother Ruth, and the sound still carries it: Prince, James Brown, Stevie Wonder and Lenny Kravitz in the bloodline.
Partnering with both Death Row Records and Vokall Records, Sam records live to tape with Family Company. His new project, Pieces Of Us (Deluxe), arrives October 23, followed by the Christmas EP on October 30.
Behind the board and in the writing room he has worked with Jamie Foxx (vocal engineering for Jamie's piano performances in the Hulu special Jamie Foxx: Take Care of Yourself), Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, Killer Mike, Liam Payne, Jimmie Allen and Diane Warren, with Grammy recognition for Killer Mike's MICHAEL.
